November 2025 Traffic Report Card: What Do The Numbers Tell Us?
Traffic statistics, which take a snapshot of our safety on the roads every month, consist of not just cold numbers; every figure represents a human, a family, and a life. We have reviewed the November 2025 Traffic Statistics Bulletin published by the Traffic Department of the General Directorate of Security for you.
1. General Overview: Accidents Are Not Decreasing A total of 55,995 traffic accidents occurred nationwide throughout November. Unfortunately, 23,670 of these accidents resulted in death or injury.
The Grim Toll: We lost 199 citizens at the accident scene in November alone, and 32,890 people were injured.
Urban Danger: A very large portion (86%) of injury-causing accidents occur within residential areas, that is, in city centers.
2. The #1 Cause of Accidents: SPEED When we look at the causes of accidents, "Driver Faults" are far in the lead (over 90%). So, where do drivers make the most mistakes? When we analyze the 25,639 driver faults in November, the following picture emerges:
Speed Violation (35.5%): "Failure to adjust vehicle speed to road, weather, and traffic conditions" is the biggest cause of accidents. 1 in every 3 accidents happens due to excessive or improper speed.
Right of Way (17.4%): Failure to yield the right of way at intersections is the second biggest cause.
Following Distance (9.1%): Rear-end collisions are still very common.
3. Attention to the Rise in Motorcycles! There is a surprising statistic regarding the types of vehicles involved in accidents. The distribution of the 40,307 vehicles involved in fatal/injury accidents in November is as follows:
Automobile: 45.1% (18,211 Units)
Motorcycle: 23.4% (9,432 Units)
Motorized Bicycle (Moped): 8% (3,237 Units)
Striking Data: When we add up motorcycles and motorized bicycles, two-wheeled vehicles constitute 31.4% of the vehicles involved in accidents. This proves once again how vital motorcycle awareness is in traffic.
